# Check usage and credits

> Read your account's usage, remaining allowances, and credit balance.

Call `GET /v1/usage` for current-month usage and `GET /v1/credits` for wallet information and rates. Both calls require your API key and do not need a browser session.

```python Python theme={"dark"}
import os
import requests
headers = {"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['TILION_API_KEY']}"}
for path in ("usage", "credits"):
    response = requests.get(
        f"https://back.tilion.dev/v1/{path}", headers=headers, timeout=30
    )
    response.raise_for_status()
    print(path, response.json())
```

```javascript Node.js theme={"dark"}
for (const path of ["usage", "credits"]) {
  const response = await fetch(`https://back.tilion.dev/v1/${path}`, {
    headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.TILION_API_KEY}` },
    signal: AbortSignal.timeout(30_000),
  });
  if (!response.ok) throw new Error(await response.text());
  console.log(path, await response.json());
}
```

```bash curl theme={"dark"}
curl --fail-with-body https://back.tilion.dev/v1/usage \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TILION_API_KEY"
curl --fail-with-body https://back.tilion.dev/v1/credits \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $TILION_API_KEY"
```

## Read the usage response

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `usage` | Consumed actions, traffic, browser time, sessions, and CAPTCHA solves. |
| `remaining` | Remaining allowance by resource. |
| `browser_hours` | Used, included, and remaining browser hours. |
| `concurrency_limit` | Maximum live sessions on the account. |
| `rate_limits` | Request and operation limits for the key. |
| `premium_egress_usage` | Included and used premium traffic, overage, and rates by exit type. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Free and credit-funded accounts have separate charges for session creation, browser time, actions, and traffic. Developer and Team accounts have no per-call wallet debits. Use the rates returned by the API to calculate costs.

The [billing reference](https://docs.tilion.dev/account/billing.md) documents credit redemption, premium egress, and per-route charges. [Plans](https://docs.tilion.dev/account/plans.md) lists plan-specific allowances.
